Oregon Symphony Musician Bio
Violinist Ryan Lee hails from Vacaville, California. He earned a B.M. and Artist Diploma from the Colburn School Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles, where he studied with Robert Lipsett. Ryan previously studied with Kineko Okumura and William Barbini in Davis, and later with Mark Kaplan at UCLA. Ryan has enjoyed collaborating with Martin Chalifour, Robert Chen, Paul Coletti, Lynn Harrell, Ron Leonard and Allen Vogel in various chamber music performances at music festivals including Aspen and Crested Butte, Kneisel Hall, San Miguel de Allende, and the Laguna Beach Festival.
Ryan had the honor of playing Jascha Heifetz’s Guarneri del Gesù violin at the Palace of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco. He has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the New World Symphony, and joined the Oregon Symphony in January 2011.
