Classical Concerts - Oregon Symphony

Classical Concerts

Sixteen programs comprise the Oregon Symphony’s Classical Series. About two hours in length, each program typically features a guest soloist in a concerto, plus at least one major work. All Classical concerts include a 20-minute intermission. Lively pre-concert “Concert Conversations” are a favorite component of Classical concerts for many; the 30-minute discussions are moderated by hosts of All Classical Portland, and take place in the concert hall one hour before the concert. Pops Concerts - Oregon Symphony

Pops Concerts

Principal Pops Conductor Jeff Tyzik conducts four spirited programs each season that showcase the best in Symphony Pops, from the American Songbook and classic jazz standards, to show tunes and dance spectaculars. These shows last about 2 hours in length and include a 20-minute intermission. View Pops concerts.

Oregon Symphony Presents Special Concerts

Oregon Symphony Presents (Special Concerts)

Our wildly varied and always-popular Special Concerts run the gamut, presenting stars of the classical, pops, jazz, and even indie-rock arenas together with the Oregon Symphony, as well as other unexpected programs that may celebrate film scores, video game music, or dance in creative new ways. Because of this range of content, concert durations and formats vary. View Special concerts.

Kids Concerts - Oregon Symphony

Kids Concerts

Designed especially for kids ages 5-10, we present three Kids Concerts per season to engage and inspire young listeners. Concerts are both educational and entertaining – there’s no better way to introduce your little ones to the thrills of live orchestral music! Kids Concerts last about an hour, and it’s okay to move around in your seat, laugh, and clap. Actress Pam Mahon narrates each show; Associate Conductor Norman Huynh conducts. View Kids concerts.
