Small ensembles of Oregon Symphony musicians, with help from narrator Pam Mahon, bring the orchestra off the stage and into schools for an up-close musical experience where children are active listeners. This season’s series of 30-minute performances, called “Classical Capers,” is designed to introduce the four instrument families of the orchestra to students grades K-2. Held at three Portland Metro-area host-school locations, all schools, homeschools, and families are encouraged to attend.

Our complimentary teacher’s guide and companion CD are great teaching resources! Educators can also arrange for a trained volunteer to visit your class to preview this concert by requesting a docent.
