Friends of the
Oregon Symphony

The Friends of the Oregon Symphony is the primary volunteer arm of the Oregon Symphony Association.  Its purpose is to support the Symphony by volunteering time in support of its programs and by fundraising to support its financial health.

Volunteer opportunities include: Serving as docents to prepare students for their full orchestra Youth Concert experience; ushering at the Youth Concerts; conducting back stage tours of the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall; providing office support when needed; participating in fundraising projects; attending fun, informative social activities.

Mozart’s Musical Joke!

How funny can classical music be? Cellist Trevor Fitzpatrick leads an amusing evening with surprises and laughter with Mozart's "Musical Joke" sextet and PDQ Bach's Schleptet. Joining him are violinists Julie Coleman and Ruby Chen, violist Jen Arnold, Zach Galatis on flute, Adam Trussell on bassoon, Joe Berger on horn and a few more friends for good measure! Held at the elegant Dunthorpe area home of Connie and Carl Clark. Wine donated by Sineann Winery and Drs. Cliff and Karen Deveney.


Married to a Musician!

Oregon Symphony married couple Joel Belgique (viola) and Inés Voglar (violin), and Sergio Carreno on percussion, perform at an evening of sublime music! Held at the Rummer-designed Beaverton home of Karen and Keith Johnson. Wines donated by Sineann Winery and Drs. Karen and Cliff Deveney.

The featured Oregon Symphony musicians have graciously donated their ideas, time and talent for these house parties. Guests love the music as much as getting acquainted with some of their favorite symphony players! The ticket price helps support a wonderful organization.
