OREGON SYMPHONY CELEBRATES MOTOWN MAGIC WITH
THE CONTOURS

Portland, Ore. … Widely remembered for their 1962 hit, “Do You Love Me?” the Contours helped put Motown on the map. Under the baton of guest conductor Jeff Tyzik, the Oregon Symphony will perform “Motown Magic with The Contours” on Saturday, January 27 at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, January 28 at 3 p.m. and Monday, January 29 at 7:30 p.m.

Known as “Motown’s #1 Party Group” for more than 40 years, “Do You Love Me?” reached #11 on the national charts, making it one of the few recordings in history to make the top 20 in two different decades. Much of the resurgence in popularity was due to the award-winning film Dirty Dancing.

The program will include medley’s from The Temptations, The Four Tops, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles and Stevie Wonder (song list attached).
