SYMPHONY ADDS TWO MORE CONCERTS
TO ITS 2014/15 SEASON
(PORTLAND, Ore.) – The Oregon Symphony’s 2014/15 season continues to grow in both the number of concerts and its span across the musical spectrum. Following recent additions to the season like Boyz II Men and the Music of Led Zeppelin, two additional concerts have now been added, bringing the season totals to 80 performances of 47 concerts, the largest season in recent history.
THE CHERRY POPPIN’ DADDIES

With their smash 1997 hit “Zoot Suit Riot,” Oregon’s own Cherry Poppin’ Daddies single-handedly put swing back on the map. Now their high-energy twist on rock n’ roll is back, this time with a Speakeasy Party — music from Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Bing Crosby, and more from the Roaring 20s!

Portland’s favorite bands—Pink Martini and the Oregon Symphony—put a salsa spin on Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf and romp through a kaleidoscope of classical favorites. When Thomas Lauderdale and his pal Carlos Kalmar get together, one thing’s for sure—it’ll be a party you won’t want to miss!
