OREGON SYMPHONY PRESENTS ADDS TWO
CONCERTS TO 2016/17 SEASON


(PORTLAND, Ore.) – Oregon Symphony Presents continues to add to its already extraordinary 2016/17 season with the addition of two more concerts. Announced separately from subscription concerts, Oregon Symphony Presents’ slate of Special Concerts spans the entertainment spectrum, to satisfy the region’s wide-ranging musical tastes.

Indigo Girls

More than twenty years after they began releasing records as the Indigo Girls, Amy Ray and Emily Saliers are still bringing their moving lyrics and signature harmonies to audiences the world over. Now the Grammy-winning duo returns to perform their all-time favorites with the Oregon Symphony orchestra, including “Land of Canaan,” “Power of Two,” and “Closer to Fine.”

Disney in Concert: A Dream is a Wish

The magic of Disney comes to life once again in A Dream is a Wish, transporting audiences into the musical worlds of The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Frozen, Aladdin, Pocahontas,and more. With original film footage, singers, and sweeping scores performed by the Oregon Symphony orchestra, audiences will discover that dreams really do come true!

Tickets to these added concerts are available now on special pre-sale for Oregon Symphony subscribers. They are available to the general public on Monday, January 9.

The addition of these concerts brings the total number of performances in the 2016/17 Season to 93: 48 Classical; 8 Pops; 3 Kids; and 34 Special Concerts.
