Pops Series

We’ve been listening...

to our audience members and neighbors. And we’ve heard a lot of great suggestions.

We've been told they enjoy hearing orchestral masterpieces from the likes of Beethoven, Brahms, Bach and Grieg. And we understand that concert-goers want a mix of brilliant new artists and some of the world’s finest, like Joshua Bell and Horacio Gutierrez.

Well, the 2008-09 Oregon Symphony season in Salem includes ALL of those. It is one of our best seasons ever.

We’ve also booked American Pops specialist and Salem favorite Jeff Tyzik in a Pops series that celebrates the American Songbook and showcases the orchestra here in Salem.

Finally, we understand that in these economic times, we must work harder to keep ticket prices affordable. We have been working hard and would like to thank those individuals and businesses who have stepped up to provide underwriting of the appearance of this wonderful orchestra. Oh, and by the way, ticket prices have NOT been raised. You won't believe what you will hear for the price.

From Sinatra to Stravinsky, from double bass to guitar, from Mendelssohn to Mozart and from jazz to Joshua—the Oregon Symphony will dazzle you with its virtuosity.

We invite you to join us!

All concerts are on Tuesday evenings, begin at 8:00 PM and are held at Smith Auditorium on the Willamette University campus.
