Education & Community Engagement Manager
Join the Oregon Symphony Team as our Education & Community Engagement Manager!

If so, the Oregon Symphony invites you to apply for the Education & Community Engagement Manager position!
In this role, you’ll support the Director of Education & Community Engagement in coordinating a broad range of programs that bring symphonic music to schools, community centers, correctional facilities, and concert halls across Oregon. From managing student registrations and volunteer teams to producing engaging events and compiling data for grants, you’ll be at the heart of the Symphony’s mission to serve and inspire through music.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage registration, billing, and communication for school programs such as KinderKonzerts, Youth Concerts, and Link Up.
- Coordinate logistics and support for in-school visits, regional outreach, and programs like Symphony Storytimes and Concert Conversations.
- Collaborate with staff, artists, educators, and volunteers to produce events that reach diverse audiences across the state.
- Maintain program data and support grant reporting efforts in collaboration with the Development team.
- Serve as a liaison to the Northwest Community Gospel Chorus in preparation for Gospel Christmas concerts.
- Work with Marketing and Design teams to develop and update materials for programs and web content.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in music, arts education/administration, or equivalent experience; two or more years of related experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of music education or the performing arts.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro, and Tessitura or similar databases.
- Valid driver’s license and flexibility to work evenings and weekends. A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Status & Work Environment:
This is a full-time, salaried (exempt) position currently following a hybrid work model, requiring three days per week in the office and flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Salary Range: $56,000–$62,000 annually
